Rochester Falls

Rochester Falls is one of the most unique waterfalls in Mauritius, famous for its unusual rectangular rock formations carved by the Savanne River over thousands of years. The geometric patterns in the basalt rock create a stunning natural sculpture. The waterfall drops about 10 meters into a natural swimming pool below, where brave visitors can take a refreshing dip in the cool waters. Local guides often demonstrate cliff jumping into the pool. Getting to the falls requires a short walk through sugarcane fields and down a rocky path, adding to the adventure. The secluded location means it's often less crowded than other attractions.
