You will make a stop at the Chateau de Bel Ombre, an iconic plantation home which evokes vivid scenes from another time with its impeccable French formal garden overlooking the magnificent Heritage Golf Course. The tour will also take you Trevessa Memorial, a monument erected to honour the survivors of the Trevessa shipwreck which washed up there in 1923, after surviving a long life raft journey of 3 weeks and 1728 miles. And let’s not forget the picture-perfect Macondé, a picturesque rock which derives its name from the Makonde people of East Africa. The guide will tell you about the early colonial period when fugitive slaves of this ethnic group took shelter on this rocky peninsula. It is the perfect spot for a stunning holiday picture! The tour ends at La Prairie beach, a must-see in Mauritius, loved by locals and tourists alike.
