Restaurants
Le Flamboyant is the main restaurant, where you can enjoy local cuisine with a touch of French influences. We recommend the chef’s seafood specialties. La Plage is the second restaurant, and as the name suggests it is on the beach. Relax there while digging your toes in the sand, and enjoy the minimalist décor with the sound of waves as ambiance. Seafood dishes are the main fare here. At the end of the day, you can enjoy tropical BBQ there while enjoying Sega shows as well as concerts by a variety of local musicians. The third restaurant, which includes a bar, is called the Takamaka Poolside. It is a great place to have light lunches with a cocktail or beer.
Weddings & Honeymoons
Celebrating your union at Sofitel So Mauritius will be nothing short of paradisiac. The hotel has wedding packages, which are designed to make your special day unforgettable. There are wedding planners to take care of every little detail. Add this to this exceptional location’s white sands, blue lagoon and tropical nature… this hotel is an amazing venue to celebrate your wedding, or to enjoy a secluded and intimate honeymoon.
Spa & Wellness
The SoSPA has been devised to embellish your romantic getaway. We recommend the couple’s massage packages, and a little trip to one of the two hammams for a deep cleanse. SoFIT is the gym section, where you can go for a work-out with your other half.
Golfing and other activities
Being a seaside resort, Sofitel So Mauritius has aquatic activities such as snorkeling, water skiing, swimming with dolphins, catamaran cruises, and whale watching. The hotel is also situated close to a Peter Malkovich designed 18-hole golf course, embedded amidst the surrounding dreamy landscape of lakes, rivers and streams.
Kid’s Villa
The Kids Villa is destined for the young ones, aged between 3 and 12. They provide a list of over 60 activities, which include face painting, pompom making, origami, mini-soccer, stretching, limbo dancing or traditional Mauritian dance. They can also learn about local fauna & flora through a ride in a glass-bottomed boat.
