On day two you will head to Port-Louis after a delicious breakfast to discover the lively capital and its historic architecture.

• Dock at the marina of Le Caudan Waterfront and enjoy lunch on board
• Visit Le Caudan Waterfront and its craft market, cafés, boutiques, duty-free shops, a bookstore filled with Mauritian authors, and the famous Blue Penny Museum
• Uncover the cobblestone streets lined with colonial buildings and century-old fruit trees

DAY THREE

It’s all about local culinary delights

You will go on a “My Moris” cultural and culinary tour on foot around the cosmopolitan city. My Moris guides will take you along alleys and backstreets that conceal hot steaming street food.

• Try the famous “dholl puri” (flat bread made with split peas) or “rotis” (Indian flat bread)
• Attempt steamed Chinese dumplings – known as “boulettes”
• Discover the local lifestyle while the guides tell you about the Mauritian history
• Enjoy late lunch served on board the catamaran
• Sail to Grand-Baie – the liveliest coastal village of the island
• Explore Grand-Baie’s trendy bars, a variety of restaurants, local food carts, and night-clubs

DAY FOUR

Sail to the small islets of the North Coast

You will spend the day hopping between Flat Island and Gabriel Island, and have the opportunity to snorkelling and discover the rich marine life.

• Enjoy breakfast will be served on board Chaka
• Set sail for Flat Island and discover its lighthouse and the ruins of an ancient quarantine
• Take a dip into the warm blue waters and explore the reef at Baie des Palissades
• Enjoy a barbecue and a fresh salad prepared by the crew
• Head to Gabriel Island – Perfect for a sun bath and snorkelling
• Admire the beautiful sunset before heading back to Grand-Baie for dinner

DAY FIVE

Explore the coastal city of Grand-Baie

You can choose to wander off and explore the North at your paste or chill by the pool side.

• Start the day with a cup of Mauritian vanilla tea as Grand-Baie awakens
• The catamaran will dock at 20 Degrés Sud – a charming hotel near Pointe aux Canonniers
• Appreciate a delicious lunch at the hotel’s poolside restaurant overlooking the turquoise sea
• Spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool, go kayaking in the bay or go for a bicycle ride
• Enjoy various water activities offered by the locals on the beach
• Savour house-made pastries and Mauritian tea at around 3 p.m.

DAY SIX

The sweet life of Poudre d’Or along the North East coast of the island

The cultured My Moris guides will take you along the winding streets of Poudre d’Or – a village by the sea which flourished during the golden age of the sugarcane industry before nearly disappearing off the map.

• Discover the Poudre d’Or’s places of worship, lush gardens and candy-coloured houses
• Head back to your hotel at noon
• Spend your afternoon lazing around the hotel until dinner time
• Savour a healthy cuisine at the 20 Degrés Sud hotel made from organic local ingredients such as freshly caught fish: Ombrine, Vieille Rouge and Daurade

DAY SEVEN

Be guided into a state of pure relaxation

You have a full day to laze around the hotel and relax… It would be perfect to enjoy special spa treatments at the hotel after several days in the sun.

• Enjoy a Spa treatment – After-sun soothing, Detoxifying, Nourishing and revitalizing or simply relax in the Turkish bath.
• Be adventurous – rent a bicycle and take the coastal road along the bay
• Wander around Grand-Baie to check out the bustling streets, roadside cafés, public beach, food trucks and old-school Chinese restaurants
• Discover the hip Sunset Café’ where you can watch the deep-sea fishing boats dock and unload gigantic silver fish
• Check out Dalon – a café run by three friends and try a mean venison burger
• Still hungry? Head over to Au Paradis de Nourriture and try its famous Pad Thai

DAY EIGHT

Chateau de Laboudonnais – the historic Mauritius

Enjoy the breakfast buffet before heading to the Domaine de Labourdonnais, an old sugar estate. Amidst the stunning gardens and century-old trees, sits a lavender colonial home, an architectural gem built in 1856, referred to as “le château.”

• Take a tour around the château and discover artefacts, letters, furniture, silverware and porcelain belonging to the family
• Sample house-made fruit candies and “Rum Arrange” (local rum infused with fruits and spices)
• Take a stroll in the orchards of Domaine de Labourdonnais
• Lunch at La Table du Château and try local produce
• Head back to the 20 Degrés Sud hotel and pack before your transfer to the airport
